What is GFV?
GFV — short for Gym Factory Verified — is a new certification standard for gyms. The aim is simple: build a trusted directory of training facilities that have been independently checked against a single set of standards covering equipment, hygiene, programming and member experience. If a gym carries the GFV mark, it's earned it.
Why a verified-gym directory?
Picking a gym is a real commitment — financial, physical, and time. Online reviews get gamed and most directory sites list whoever pays for placement. GFV is trying something different: audit first, list second, only verify gyms that meet the standard.
The three tiers
- GFV Certified — passed the full on-site audit. The highest tier on the platform. Certified gyms also become eligible to commission — a hand-cast bronze sculpture for the entrance.
- Owner Verified — the gym owner has claimed the listing and confirmed the details. The mid-tier mark.
- Community Listed — imported from public data sources, shown without a badge until the owner claims it or an audit is carried out.
